Locally Manufactured Shutters

At Premier Shutters and Shades we only use the finest high quality basswood available in the industry. Our lumber is graded to a kiln dried and select better grade insuring a moisture content of no greater than 6-8%. This insures the wood will carry enough moisture not to split or crack and low enough moisture preventing it from warping or twisting. In processing our materials, we use state of the art machinery that cuts and bores to a fraction of an inch. This allows us to build shutter panels with smooth operation and tight closures to insure the best insulating value possible. When assembling our shutters we use 2¾ x ½ ” wooden dowels and fast drying wood glue to create the strongest bond possible.

Prior to applying the finish, all of our shutters are hand sanded by highly trained shop technicians with many years of experience. Preparing the product for the finish is the most important step in producing a premium quality shutter and we truly believe our finish is unparalleled in the shutter industry. Once our shutters are assembled they go through our quality control department prior to installation.

Installation of our shutters is done in a timely manner by highly trained company installers who are mindful of our customer’s busy schedule and need to have the very highest quality shutters available.

We hope you will appreciate our attention to detail and customer service. We look forward to helping you with all your window covering needs. At Premier Shutters and Shades we feel that surpassing the customer’s expectations is simply the minimum requirement for staying in business today.
